Watersports

Club Nautique (Near the Supersol supermarket) offers all kinds of activities for the more adventurous amongst you. The most popular activity in summer is scuba diving which you can try from 12 years old onwards with an instructor. If you like it, you can then do a PADI Open Water Course and get your qualification card for diving all over the world. There are lost of other activities you can do such as sailing, horse riding, guided walks, canyoning, jeep safaris and fishing.

Club Nautique Nerja, also rent out mountain bikes and scooters for those of you who want to spend the day exploring the countryside by yourself just pop along and visit them in Avenida Castilla Pérez.

Horse Riding.

Next to the Rio Chillar you will find a horse riding stables, Cuadra Fandango, where you can rent a horse by the hour or do guided tours. They only take out small groups, usually no more than three people to ensure that everybody has an enjoyable time.

Guided tours lead you through the mountains and/or down to the beach for either a slow peaceful walk or an exciting canter, depending upon your level of experience. To sign up for a hack, see Club Nautique Nerja.

Nightlife

Nerja has something for all tastes and ages - from genuine flamenco to the latest disco sounds. The Cultural centre offers performances ranging from classical Spanish guitar concerts to choral works and west end musicals.

Food

The world's cuisines are all represented here from Arabic to Chinese, Indian, Thai, Philippine, French and of course Spanish! You can eat in the town, at restaurants on the beach or up in the mountains. Live entertainment can easily be found at many restaurants.

Excursions

Whether you want to go to a bull fight, explore ancient Moorish hill forts, take a ferry to Morocco or Tunisia or visit some of the historic cities in the region such as Granada or Seville - you can do it either by yourself or through an arranged excursion.
